  Food is decent service is better than average. I had a Turkey wrap the other day which tasted great but was a little skimpi. The tortilla soup was outstanding though.

  I'm surprised the reviews are so high for the Portlight!  I mean, it's okay, but not 5 stars awesome by any means.  This venue has been around for years, perhaps decades, and serves as Camp Rilea's on-post all-ranks club.  It changed hands and name back in 2013, but its basically the same ol' restaurant.  
  
  Despite being on Camp Rilea, the Portlight is open to civilians just so long as you have a valid ID of some kind.  
  
  As for the restaurant itself, its just okay.  As a Guardsman myself I've been here many times and have seen it packed with standing room only, as was the case with the Conor McGregor fight two summers ago, and I've seen it dead, like tonight.  The prices are okay and I have tried the prime rib dinner offered on the weekends.  It's a pretty good deal, but if I recall the salad fixin's were a little lacking.  The menu otherwise is very limited and the owner is typically out of whatever your first choice might be.  
  
  If you're a military member, this place is pretty par for the course as a place to gather after a day of training with your soilders or airmen, have a beer and a burger, and maybe play a game of pool or watch a game.  
  
  If you're a civilian you might find the atmosphere unique as you're surrounded by some elements of military culture and mementos from the owner's (Jeanette) adventures with the Merchant Marines.  
  
  The owner and employees are always friendly, but service isn't the fastest.  Overall, it's a solid 3 stars!

  Love the coast.  Don't love tiny food with no flavor or served from a bag meals.  We were driving along looking for anything above 2.5 stars in the northern coast.  Up pops  Port Light on the Army Natl Guard base.   Hmmmmm.   First clue it was the place for us, the instruction not to disarm but to clear your magazine.   Tons of memorabilia.  Fun staff. Good salad bar w potatoe salad w dill...yummy.  
  
  Then, the owner herself cuts the prime rib (avail Fri and Sat).  She asks if this is rare enough....and she cuts a HUGE slice off.   Ohmy.  I could have broken down and cried right there.  Keep in mind, I'm from Vegas previously...and Lawrys Prime Rib is my favorite.  But this....this gave me hope for Oregon food.   My tastebuds were dancing for joy....  I am overwhelmed with gratitude for this eclectic place.
  
  And fresh baked cookies.  And if they add pumpkin pie....I might never leave.  The owners are retired merchant marine and Navy....that is another feather in their cap!!!!  
  
  So go.   But don't eat all the rare.   That is MINE, MINE, MINE!!!
  
  I would write more...but the tears of joy are blocking my view.

  This place is on a Military Facility called "Camp Rilea Armed Forces Training Center" which is open to the public.
  
  The owner Jeanette is really cool to hang out with and chat. She has many stories to tell about her life, seeing that she was in the merchant Marines.
  
  Mostly comfort food served here Burgers, Wraps and a Salad bar.
  
  The ladies bathroom also has some misc. Stuff for us ladies to freshen up with (parfume, hairspray, dry shampoo).
  
  Great casual atmosphere here along with a big pool table!

  A very pleasant surprise. Tucked away on the Army resevre post near Warrenton. Had a great prime rib with all the fixings.
  Very good she cuts it to order right in front of you. Great find thanks to Yelp reviews.
  Played some pool too.
